The key task of education, I think, is to strengthen learners' potentialities of their modesof thinking and have them with the life-long studying abilities of getting knowledge and doingpioneering work as well but not to ask them only to master more knowledge. Mind map, made by Tonny Bozan, who is an English researcher in the 1970s, is a tool of specifyingone's radioactive thinking. It spreads outside from one thinking center to thousands Ofbranches, while every branch stands for a counection with the thinkingcenter. Everycomection may change into another thinking center, which can spread to thousand ofbranches as well. Characters, marks, pictures and colors are used in Mind map.Being an effective studying method, Mind map is a key to opening one's brains. Notonly can it broaden and clear learners'modes of thinking but it can also improve students'studying efficiency and abilities of memory. My essay, based on the revision of senior chemistry, is about applied study on Mindmap in chemistry teaching. In the course of practice and study, first of all, I make it clear tothe students that what Mind map is and how to make it. Next, by using brainstorm to reviewhydrocarbon and derivative of hydrocarbon, I ask the students to take notes by means ofMind map and try to make a Mind map suitable to themselves. Tell students to have theirrevision in terms of Mind map in order to strengthen what they have learned and shorten theirtime of reviewing and improve their frequencies of revision. The most important thing is tohelp students to sort out the problems and find out ways to solve problems. Ways ofquestionnaire, private talks and analyses of data are used to throw light upon the efficiency ofMind map. Futhermore, I have a further research on the applied valve of Mind map indemistry teaching and draw the following conclusions.1. Mind map can stimulates students' interest of studying.2. Mind map is a studying method, which contributes to students' life-long study.3. Mind map is good for students to communicate with each other.4. Mind map can help to improve the students' abilities of bring forth new ideas.
