With the economic and science technology and cultural development, people in Thailand are living better and longer. Number of older persons is growing rapidly making Thailand a grayish country or an aging country. Such situation prompt Thai Government and people alike adopt a positive strategy in educational and health care reform which will make it possible for the elders to engage in life-long study which will foster a healthy and knowledgeable country.Analyzing the concept and the necessity of life-long studying, the thesis uncovers current situation and prospect of Thailand life-long study as well as its existing problem at national level and that of the elders themselves. The researcher then provides recommendations for actions which call for the elders to stat fit and health through various approaches and programs available; to develop attitude toward life-long study; to be confident in ability of continue studying so as to be ever growing and ultimately self actualization to live valuably in the later life.The thesis also has proposals for Thai government to attach more important to the elders' health and education by setting up a special research institute of gerontology; to set up elderly universities and schools; to further reform of educational system and elderly organization as well as to allocates sufficient budget for the older persons' life-long study program.
