Reserch On A Life-long Education Platform Based On RIA

Life-long Education is a new theory which is developing with modern social demands.Also, the tendency of education development in the world. Nowadays, the education platform of Distance Life-long education, which centers on multi-media computer,network technology and technology of RIA ,becomes an ideal environment to realize Life-long Education because of its interaction and self-regulation.In this paper, the background,internal and overseas developing status,the future and signification of Life-long education platform were described.At the same time,it introduced series of education theories which are the basis of exploiting Life-long education platform.Then,it analyzes relative technologies,the dividing of system function and realization of the whole platform in detail.The life-long education platform could support remote teaching and learning, consisted of self-regulated learning module,question-and-answer module,management module and so on.It mainly resolved two questions of communication and teaching in remote teaching by Network.Users,such as teacher and student or student and student, could communicate with each other by this platform.RIA technology, which is short for rich internet applications meets users' need in quickly responses and high interactions during teaching and learning.This platform chooses Adobe Flex ,which is the most comprehensive solution for delivering RIAs across the enterprise and over the Web,and Flex development model uses MXML for user interface design and layout ,an implementation of ActionScript for client logic,and MVC design model.Finally,it shows the extensibility of the platform and some impending functions in the future.
