With the development of the society and the growing of the information, we are entering a new era of image. People attach great importance to the research of visualization technology. Knowledge visualization uses visual representation to improve the acquisition, share and creation of knowledge.Graphic Organizer is a visualization instruction tool by using charts or graphs to organize, explain and express knowledge. Teachers'applying it to teaching activities initiatively and unconsciously can improve the teaching effect. Our country has no special research on it at present. As instruction researcher, he/she digs the potentials of education application and application method which provide inspiration and reference for teachers by exploring the effective instruction strategies. This research fulfils the following tasks:First, the author expatiates the definition, characteristic, current research status at home and abroad. And it also summarizes application methods of different sorts of Graphic Organizer schemes.Second, the author designs the practice of applying Graphic Organizer to teaching. The principles and characteristics of applying strategies of Graphic Organizer to practice are summarized. Basic theories about Graphic Organizer applying to teaching, that is"from principle, goal, strategy to evaluation"are provided.Third, the author analyzes the characteristics and the status quo of natural science subject in primary school. Graphic Organizer application cases by using three different instruction patterns of lecture type, exploration type, collaboration type are designed according to the characteristics of this subject. The author carries out instruction project of cartography based on the environment of integrating traditional classroom and information technology.Fourth, the author evaluates effect of the research from many points of view and values of Graphic Organizer application.Fifth, the author gathers classifies and analyzes the students'works of Graphic Organizer according to different courses.In a word, this research puts forward exploration from theory to practice applying Graphic Organizer to instruction. As a effective visual tool, it can change teaching and learning mode, improve the ability of expressing, understanding and innovating knowledge by visualization. The paper provides beneficial teaching enlightenment for teachers.
