This article which is logically based on the social mobility, studies how the social stratification of the elder influences the educational equity of the filial generation in qualitative analysis ways, and then tries to find out the solutions to improve educational equity. The first part sorts the basic theory of social stratification from its meanings, causations and standards while analyzing that the function of social stratification impacts educational equity. The second part defines the concepts of equity, educational equity and equality of educational opportunity, and focuses the impact of social stratification on the educational equity from the three standards which are economy, culture and professional. The third part researches the impact of social stratification on compulsory education. The fourth part studies the impact of social stratification on higher education. From these two parts, we can see when the elder are in different social class their filial generation will accept different educations. This fact means social stratification influences educational equity terribly. The last part proposes feasible suggestions to achieve a more impartial education according to the above-mentioned inequitable phenomenon and reasons.
