Equity is the goal of mankind to protect the people’s legitimate rights and interests and embody social justice as well. Education, as the human eternal career, is a kind of social practice to cultivate talent for social development. Education equity is the common aspirations of global education development. As a subsystem of educational equity, vocational education equity is related to individual development and life quality, which plays an important part in the whole social justice. Vocational education can not only foster high-quality workers and skilled talents, but also possess the function of selecting talents and social stratification. Due to the imbalance and tension of Chinese current social structure affect the social stability, sustainable development as well as the governmental great attention to the vocational education development, this paper holds the perspective of social stratification theory to make analysis and research toward the issues of vocational education equity.This paper adopts different subjects theories and methods to explore and research the vocational education equity from the perspective of social stratification. and by means of it, to seek a realistic way to promote vocational education equity. This paper makes analysis from four stages:First, this paper makes a conclusion about main theories and points of social stratification and presents the current theoretical achievement towards social stratification.Then, this paper makes the connotation definition of education and vocational education equity and observes as well as analyzes the the relation between social stratification and vocational education equity. Thirdly, this paper makes a research on unequal vocational education status under China’s current social structure, sums up the concrete manifestation of Vocational Education in the starting point, the process and the result of education, analyzes the causes for vocational education inequality from two aspects of external and internal factors of vocational education. Finally, in view of the above-mentioned objective phenomenon of unequal vocational education, this paper comes up with proposals and strategies to improve vocational education inequality under the social stratification.
