With the expansion and development of China’s education, as well as the continuous reform of curriculum standard, students differentiation phenomenon is very outstanding. At the same time, there are a large number of students who have trouble in studying appears (called backward students). These students which are weak in basic knowledge and lose confidence in learning, are confused for the future. According to preliminary investigation, this kind of phenomenon also is on the rise and prominent, especially in rural high school education with small investment, the majority of students can’t reach the testing standard.In such cases, most of the rural high schools make Chinese subject as the key to teaching. As a united subject of instrumentality and humanity, Chinese shoulders the mention of humanistic education to the students. It is also the key to make great progress in other subjects. But with the deepening of the curriculum, more difficulty in knowledge, the transformation of learning methods in high school, the learning ability is required highlier in senior high school Chinese teaching. In this situation,more and more students that with lower scores in learning can’t keep up with the normal progress, became a poor student in Chinese subject. Making low ahievements cause less progress in other subjects. As a result, students who are in low spirits and less confidence, are fed up with school. Therefore, how to transform the backward students into usual students that is extremely important.It is not a long time that research about the transformation of poor student work. They emphasis the reasons how to become backward students, not the transform strategies. Based practical investigation and research, combined with the actual situation of the rural high school education teaching, this paper summarizes the predecessors’ research results and make the students in No.3 high school as subject investigated. From the discrepancy, policies and level of education, they knew that how to become backward students in rural high schools with nowadays educational background. According to the conclusion, they provide strategies from mental characteristics and practical teaching so as to help develop the high school Chinese teaching reform in the countryside. So in practice, these strategies how to use, which is worth pondering and exploring to make it into effect. In order to make backward students study better in rural high schools, combined with teaching experience, this paper will make more detailed suggestions.
