| The flourish of the country is related to education, and the quality of the education is determined by teachers. Principal teachers, as the backbone of the school, are also the backbone to improve the level of all teachers'professional development. They have profound theory foundation, high-level professional ability, outstanding teaching ability, who can understand advanced educational idea and put it into the practice more quickly than common teachers during the New Curricular Reform and the teachers'professional development. Principal teachers could share their teaching experience and feeling through public teaching, school-based researching and giving a report, to promote the growth and development of other teachers. To display the function of principal teachers, we have to guarantee their professional development. The principal teacher training is one of the most effective channels. The principal teacher training, to be aimed at the characteristics of the experienced teachers, design curriculums, which can enlarge their knowledge construction, increase their teaching ability and enhance their researching ability etc.. However, there are several problems in the training system recently. In the study, I have collect a great quantity of materials to understand the situation of the principal teacher training, through consulting books, journals and network etc.. In order to be close to the reality, increase the pertinence of the study, I selected two districts in Dalian as the sample, to investigate and research the related problems. I investigated 182 principal teachers'opinions and suggestion by using questionnaire, and interviewed 8 principal teachers and 2 trainers. The study declares that there still exist some problems in the principal teacher training, e.g. it's hard for them to participate the training; the establishment of the training goal isn't reasonable; the principal teachers don't clear the training goals; the training curriculum can't satisfy the teachers'needs; the way of training isn't flexible; the quality of the trainer need to be elevated; reasonable evaluation is needed; the result of the training isn't ideal etc.. In order to solve these problems, I suggest establishing the principal teacher training strategies, which includes organization strategy, evaluation strategy and encouragement strategy. In this system, organization strategy includes select principal teachers reasonable, set the training goals, select appropriate opportunity, organize training content, create training pattern, and attach importance to the improvement of the trainers. Evaluation strategy elaborates how to evaluate experienced teachers before the training, in the training or after the training. Encouragement strategy mainly discuss how to encourage experienced teachers taking part in the training through three aspects: enhance the performance, select the fortifiers, and improve the training laws. |
