In the history of the development of the high education curriculum, the changes of the curriculum value orientation presented the characteristic of"pendulum", which was that the curriculum value orientation swung between society and student. The"balance point"of the gradual progress of"the pendulum"indicates the inherent regulation nature (the"ought to be"curriculum value orientation) of the high education curriculum, which can't be given consideration in any curriculum reform.The article sorts out the history of the development of the high education curriculum and analyzes the gradual progress of the high education curriculum value orientation and the characteristics to reveal the inherent regulation nature of the high education curriculum——concern the development of"people"and the return to the human activity. At the same time, the article analyzes the factors that affect the high education curriculum value orientation from both the subject and the object angles in order to reveal the modern high education curriculum value orientation and hope to gain the enlightenment on the high education curriculum reform.
