A Study On Urban Poverty And Social Salvation In The Process Of Society Transition

Our society is under the process of transition with the economic system changing from the planned economy to the marketed-oriented one. Impoverished population, mainly caused by unemployment, makes urban poverty emerge to the social surface layer.Based on literature material and on-site investigation, the author studies the problem in qualitative and quantitative analysis ways. In the paper, the author analyzes the problem of poverty in the background of society transition. Then describe the characters of Impoverished population and explains the reasons causing poverty. Finally, take canglang district of Suzhou city for example, the author introduces the transition process of social salvation system and gives some suggestions to improve social salvation system.
