In philosophy, methods are ways and means which we use to recognize and reform the word. But, in psychology, method is actionable degree which we control on our own ,or adjust activities by the given rule to point to the measure of the given goal. Instructional methods are the methods in order to accomplish educational task to use, which are composed of the methods in which teachers instruct students and in which students learn knowledge. At the same time, they are also the common active programs that teachers instruct students to master knowledge and techniques and promote intelligence and mentality. There are all kinds of more successful methods internal and abroad. But ,each method has its merits and defects. Therefore, teachers need set up proper teaching ideas, make the methods composed reasonable, choose the best, handle them flexibly, organize the educational task creatively to achieve the best results by instructional goal and task, the feature of teaching contents, psychology of students, the function of the method, the conditions and time, etc.There are three parts in this paper. Firstly, the theories of method, instructional methods and the optimizing choice were researched and elaborated. Furthermore, the merits and defects of each method were expounded also. Under the guiding of the new teaching goals and plans were drafted. We analyze the characteristic of the high school students and draw up the beneficial proposal. Secondly, under the guiding of the theories, we investigate the conditions that the teachers use the optimization-choice method according to the realistic conditions so that we have fine foundation to carry out the methods. At last, we optimized instructional process, optimized instructional methods, designed the valid teaching plan and put on trial actively. In the end, we have achieved obvious results. These achievements have the guiding significance and reference value in impelling educational reform, increasing teaching quality and efficiency extensively, culturing student's interest of learning physics and ability of life study.
