As the deeper developing of new curriculum reforms and education informatization practice, it is becoming one important concern of teachers that how to adapt the new time change and use the modernized educational technology to promote ones' own professional level. The appearance of educational blog provides a brand-new platform for teachers' professional development. Its low threshold on technology, human original melt on emotion, openness on using and superiority on economy, make it not only have positive connection with teachers' professional development, and also have the realistic possibility for teachers, to accept this social software At present, there have appeared massive outstanding teachers' blog and educational blog community in the whole country, a lot of educators all actively think and explore the next development of educational blog. The research on how to make use of educational blog platform to assist educational teaching in practice, promote teachers' professional level and improve teachers' professional development will be significant either in theory or practice.In this paper, the author summarizes the domestic and foreign research and analyzes the current situation on educational blog in our country. In view of severe challenge and requirement on teachers' professional development from new curriculum reform and education informatization, the thought of using educational blog to promote teachers' professional development has been put forward. On the foundation of elaborating the blog characteristic and application of educational blog, the paper analyzes reality and certainty of using educational blog to promote teachers' professional development, and dissects many kinds of application of educational blog on teachers' professional development through 14 different cases. Finally, the paper points out the limitation of educational blog, proposes a series of improvement strategies as to how to make educational blog benefit teachers' professional development.
