Currently, professional development of teachers in basic education curriculum reform has become a major issue in China. Full-time Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard (Experimental Manuscript) has set higher standards for primary and secondary English teachers. How to improve the professional standards of? And how to promote the professional development for primary and secondary English teachers? The educational narrative is being introduced into the teacher training except for the traditional ways, and the educational narrative gets to be a new way for primary and secondary English teachers'professional development. It is significant and important apply the educational narrative to t primary and secondary English teachers'professional development, which becomes the central issue of this research.This research gives a systemic and in-depth discussing on the intrinsic relationship between the educational narrative and primary and secondary English teachers'professional development and offer application model for them by using Literature Analysis, Questionnarie and Interview, Case Analysis and other methods.The content of this research has following five sections:The first chapter is introduction, including the background, meaning and methods of the research, and synthesizes the relevant research at home and abroad, sorting out and summing up the themes associated with the educational narrative and its promotion for primary and secondary English teachers'professional developmentThe second chapter discusses the theory of and its promotion of primary and secondary English teachers'professional development, which bases on the analysis of literature.The third chapter mainly uses Literature Analysis, Questionnarie and Interview, Case Analysis and other methods to know the status of primary and secondary English teachers engaged in educational narrative and whether promoted their professional development.The fourth chapter gives corresponding suggestions for improvement in order to solve several problems existed in their educational narrative.The fifth chapter draws an important conclusion that the educational is an effective way to promote the professional development for primary and secondary English teachers, and finally, proposes this research insufficiency and the next research forecast.
