With the development of web2.0 technology, blog have received widespread concerns and are being widely used because of its unique advantages, since the beginning of 2004. In the teacher education, we combined the virtual learning community and web2.0 technology to build an informal virtual learning community for teachers'exchange, sharing, collaboration and learning. The informal virtual learning community is called Teacher Education Blog Group and it is accepted and used widely by teachers. Several well-known blog groups are Suzhou education blog group, Shanghai education blog and Guangzhou Tianhe tribe.Teachers can share their teaching methods, learning from other peer's experience of teaching practice and enrich their teaching experience in the blog, and they can explore new approaches and strategies for curriculum reform with the promotion of their own professional development.However, for the current situation, Teacher Education Blog Group as an informal virtual learning community, there are a lot of problems in practical applications. For example, the low level of interaction among its members; not enough of deep exchanges; access chaos caused by low relevance of forum and content; invalid article link; inadequate management and so on.How to reduce the adverse effects of these problems is the purpose of this article. The author conceives to build a virtual learning community on the basis of blog group in order to play both the technological advantages of blog and knowledge management advantage of virtual learning communities.This article first introduces the relevant concepts and theoretical basis of theme. Secondly, it, according to the analysis of using Suzhou Education blog group, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the Teacher Education Blog Group in developing the professionalism of teachers and building a virtual learning community. Thirdly, it tries to propose some strategies of building a virtual learning community based on the existing educational blog group. Finally, it shows the shortage of the paper and the future outlook.
