Research On Current Situation And Countermeasure Of Sports Schools In Four Coastal Cities Of Shandong Province

In the current research, methods as literature review, expert interview, questionnaire, mathematical and statistical analysis and logical analysis are employed. We retrospectively reviewed the history of four Sports Schools in four coastal cities of Shandong Province, namely Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai, Rizhao, where economies are relatively developed. Basic information of Guiding ideology, training objectives, teachers, students, training achievements, sports project, reserve guarantee etc, is collected and analyzed. We found out these problems such as leaders' attention is not enough short funding, low research and management level, decreased number of new students, studying atmosphere is not good, lessons teaching misses aims, conflict between curriculum and athletic training, universally exist. These problems gradually results in a worsening labor marketing, decreased production of outstanding athletes, which in turn deteriorates the whole environment of physical education.The aim of our research is to find out factors that prevent development of backup of athletic resource, and to propose our strategies to improve the current status. Based on our finding, principle of sports investment, our country's reforming situation and facts in sports schools, guidance of State Physical Culture Administration on management of sports schools, gathering experts' advice constructing reforms in sports schools, we suggest: 1) Government should increase investment to insure the steady development of sports schools; 2) Sports schools are specific for culturing and training athletes; those schools run beyond this area should be shut down or changed; 3) Multiple resources are encouraged to be invested in sports area to increase the income and improve the conditions; 4) Improvement its school pattern; enlarge schools' construction; 5) Curriculum research and physical training should be harmoniously integrated, and culture network for new generation of athletes should be constructed; 6) Teachers should receive more training and get better organized; 7) Specialty schools of province level is suggested to set up, which will attract more students with better quality; 8). Teaching reform is advised, like part-time physical training and part-time learning, which will increase the overall quality of students; 9) Athletes should receive better political training, legal education, and moral training; 10) Broaden the diversion channel of graduates.Hopefully this research will provide useful ideas for leaders in large of sports schools working out proper management, establishing new policy on culturing backup sports resource, and provide as the valuable reference for checking and evaluating Sports School running.
