Class instruction is an important carrier to fulfill teaching tasks and realize teaching objectives. To fulfill the tasks and realize the indispensable functions of class instruction is of great importance to the discipline of Chinese. To the current Chinese teaching in middle schools, it is suggested to correspond to students humanely and dynamically in order to activate and enliven the students. This essay contends it is necessary to construct happy and friendly class atmosphere in order to help students learn Chinese.This essay can be divided into two parts. The first part explores the significances in building up happy class atmosphere based on the better understanding of Chinese teaching and the importance of the class atmosphere in learning Chinese. Class atmosphere is defined as the context, the spirit, and the aesthetics of teaching Chinese.The second part, from two different perspectives, deals with rational cognitions to which Chinese teachers should pay attetnion in building up happy class atmosphere. Based on this point and aiming at improving the quality of class atmoshpere in teaching Chinese, the writer proposes the specific strategies to construct class atmosphere: to emphasize emotioal contact between the teacher and the students, to build up the students emotional process gradually and control the rythm of class progress and pay attention the actual presentation of the text itself.
