Stratum Background And Occupational Status Attainment

The study on occupational status attainment become a hot topic in sociological research ,as a cross point of research on social structure transition and social stratification ,gain widely attention from domestic scholars and abroad scholars. Based relationship of household resources and personal occupational status attainment in the period of market-oriented transition in middle and east areas in our country survey, the thesis probes into the influence of household resources on personal occupational status attainment and the functions of ascriptive force and achieved forces .The thesis falls into seven chapters:The first chapter consists of four sections. The first section is devoted to briefing the original intention of the search. In the second section ,the theories and practical achievement in occupational status attainment study summed up. The third section emphasized the research design. The research method is available in the last section,The part third forth, part fifth and part sixth are the main body. The part third describe the basic condition on citizens in big cities and generalizes the main characteristic of the intergenerational mobility and intergenerational mobility. The part fourth analyze the influence of household resources on personal occupational status attainment. The part fifth discuss the achieved forces and the ascriptive forces on personal occupational status attainment. The part sixth analyze the education status attainment in different periods. The result displays: in the period of the social transition, achieved forces exert important functions in the occupational attainment , ascriptive forces exert the unelectable function in the occupational attainment , institutional forces is a important factor affect the mobility of China, education hold up the arsis of personal social status.The seventh chapter is the conclusion part.
