Education is one of the most important components in the progress and development of society. It is realistic and significant to push forward the basic concept thoroughly of the quality education and to strengthen the research of qualify education on university students.The thesis has made a deep comparison and analysis on various aspects of qualify education theory on Chinese and American university students. First of all, we have put forward the systematic view of student quality education through the research on quality educational theory. Furthermore five qualities that university students should possess have been pointed out, that is the moral quality, psychological quality, scientific quality and cultural quality, innovative quality , and information quality. On this basis, a deep and thoroughly analysis has been made to explore the historical development of the Chinese and American quality education, the cultivation goals and other related issues. The basic features have been found out between Chinese and American quality education. Finally, a careful, systematic comparison and analysis has been made about the quality education between China and the USA from multiple aspects. The advantage and disadvantage of Chinese students qualify education have been found and the enlightenment of American qualify education has been put forward. At the end of this thesis, we generalized and concluded many efficient measures to adjust and reform the courses, to strengthen the construction of social art, to establish personification cultivation goals, to highlight the educational function if social life, to emphasize the competence education, and speed up the globalization of higher education. The conclusion of this thesis has some useful and referential values on the path and method of reforming Chinese student quality education and improvement the competitive potential of Chinese students.
