Traditional educational model has still been occupying the dominant status since long ago in the language classroom in high schools in China. This model excessively emphasizes the exam education, neglecting education for all-round development .This model emphasizes "teaching" rather than"studying" .All this has resulted in the existence of the fact that the content of education is solely and the students are overburdened with too much schoolwork, thus producing bad effects on study and seriously hindering students' health and full-scale development.Along with the high school new curriculum reforms comprehensively launched , the majority schools are beginning to change traditional ways of education, setting up the new curriculum educational ideas and exploring new patterns for effective language class directions . Considering our school' s real situation ,we now implement a new plan called"inquisitive method" in the Chinese language class , trying to change the traditional way of teaching our mother language .This method initiates students to be independent ,inquisitive and cooperative in their language study.The so-called "inquisitive method " is a plan designed on the real situation of both teachers and students of our school in accordance with the new curriculum standards . As a carrier in which students study cooperatively and inquisitively , the plan is quite different from the general teaching plan . The plan is shared by both teachers and students ,with "teaching , studying ,previewing and after-class coaching involved in the " inquisitive method , which is featured in "both teaching and studying mixed to form a complete body.The passage deals with basic theory of conducting the"inquisitive method "in the Chinese language teaching in three aspects of the "new curriculum reform theory, psychology and pedagogy, elaborating the principle of conducting the "inquisitive method in the teaching of Chinese, which involves" students as a main body, guidance in study, interaction between each other, leveling and democracy" .The passage mainly brings in the process of conducting the "inquisitive method":First of all, reform the traditional way of preparing lessons. We compile the "inquisitive method" plan by unifying "personal preparation with collective preparation. A complete "inquisitive method" plan should include the following: the topic, the type of class, the compiler, assignment of time, the analysis of content, the instruction of studying way, previewing, testing and feedback. Basic elements like questions , situations , way of teaching and studying and medias to be use will be taken into consideration when we design the plan.Next, reform the educational model to apply "inquisitive method" plan. The process carries on as follows:delivery of studying materials,, instruction of preparing for a lesson, self-study, problem discovery, inquiry into problems cooperatively, problem-solving, brief and precise explanation and induction and summary to digest contents, extension and development to consolidate, timely feedback to self-exam and write comments for further improvement.Finally, reform after-class coaching model to perfect the"inquisitive method" plan,which includes:students copyingmistaken items,, analysis of causes, arrangement of studyingplan, after-class revision. Teachers should make up for what ismissing and strengthen individual coaching.The passage also makes the appraisal summary of the"inquisitive method" plan. In teachers' aspect, teachers aresupposed to change ideas and approaches of teaching , which willbenefit the development of themselves, especially young teachers. Teachers should motivate and deepen research work in teaching and studying. In students' aspects, the "inquisitive method" plan will enhance students' ability of self-study and cultivate students' ideas of cooperation and participation. All this will help to form good behavior and habits, which is also helpful to enhance quality of education.
