In the new process of curriculum reform, large quantities of outstanding teaching materials have emerged in the high school geography curriculum. Geography teaching material of Hunan version has been used by Zhejiang Province. The biggest diversity in form between the high school geography of Human version and geography of the present version is: Not only does the new teaching material contain main-test teaching material, but also it covers massive activities. The compilation form of this teaching material has enormously enriched teaching connotation, subtly changed the teaching way and the way of learning, from two aspects of learning and teaching changed the traditional pattern of classroom instruction and transformed to effective, interactive, exploratory process. The activity is specially designed for students' lifelong development requirements, fully embodying the basic idea of "students' development as the basis", emphasis is laid on the cultivation of students' creative thinking and exploratory consciousness, students' ability of acquiring, processing, applying and assessing geographic information, great importance is attached to geographic skill raising and practical ability. This paper focuses on how to effectively integrate "activity" content, how to perform "activity" teaching and teaching method research according to the educational function of "activity" content.About how to display the educational function of geographic "activity" content, we should first understand its main characteristics of compilation, then pay special attention to its leading role in raising students' learning ability and teachers' teaching skill; As to the integrating strategy of "activity" content, on one hand we can classify and induce "activity" content in the present teaching material. For example, classification can be conducted according to teaching goal, ability enhancing, geographic knowledge system and teaching arrangement and so on respectively, in this way, teachers can perform teaching better with a full understanding of different "activity" content arrangement. On the other hand, we can discuss the good combination of "activity" and investigative & research study. About how to teach "activity" content, this paper discusses from two aspects of "inquisition activity" and "practice activity", which allows teachers to choose different teaching methods accordingly based on various activities. Simultaneously this paper also gives some advice about how to handle several issues in "activity" teaching concerned, so as to rid "activity" teaching of erroneous zones.
