With the further deepening and the development of the new curriculum reform in China, the Student-Oriented Idea of the new curriculum’s concepts has been widely accepted. Under the guidance of this concept, the teaching methods and the teaching forms are changing in unawares. It begun to focus on the interests and needs of the students, and the teachers are trying to use the methods of launching situational activities to motive the students, let the students explore in the concrete situation by themselves, in order to complete the intrinsic process of the geography concepts, knowledge and the principles. This teaching method is called the activity teaching method. The activity teaching launch of the Geography can help the students change their passive learning attitude into voluntary study attitude; help the students do the self-construction of the knowledge, turn the external knowledge to the students’own knowledge; help the students combine theory with practice to achieve the unity of the knowledge and the action.The curriculum of Tourism Geography in senior high school is an important part of the curriculum of Geography. It is a good platform to show the Geography’s features such as comprehensiveness, epochal character and practicality. The textbook of the Tourism Geography is undoubtedly an important carrier of the courses of the high school Tourism Geography. The number and the quality of the activity in the textbook activity system have an effect on the teachers’enthusiasm and the effectiveness to launch the activity teaching in Tourism Geography courses. Thus, the research on the content setting of the Tourism Geography textbook activity system is of great value.In this paper, the activity system of the textbook which named Elective Courses ш Tourism Geography that was published by the People’s Education Press is chosen as the research object. First, based on the research of the previous, I divided the activity system of the textbook into5types which are question-exploring type, data-collection type, seminar-exploring type, communication-experience type and tourism design type. Second, in accordance with the chapter in the textbook, I analyzed the content and summarized the number and the types of the activity system in every chapter. After that, I made a comparative analysis between the textbook’s activity system content and the content standards of the Tourism Geography’s Curriculum Standards of Senior School. Based on the result which is the present situation of the textbook’s activity system content, I aroused some optimization suggestions on the activity system content of the textbook design. Finally, I designed one activity teaching case of each activity type which under the guidance of the activity-teaching principles. At the last part of this paper, I summarized the main conclusions, pointed the deficiency of this research and prospect the future of the research on the activity-teaching in the field of Tourism Geography in senior school.
