Based on contemporary cognitive psychology theory and schema theory, this study researched the teaching content and methodology in high-school chemistry deduction problem education. It tried to improve students' capability in solving deduction problem by constructing schema for deduction problem and giving student systematic training in using schema. The testing group included 43 students in a second-grade advanced class of Suzhou Third Middle School and natural experiment approach was taken. Special instruction and regular teaching were combined in training student on deduction problem. The results before and after the experiment were compared to research the impact of the experimental training on students' capability in solving deduction problem. The results indicated:1. Chemistry deduction problem score is positively correlated with schema level. The higher schema level, the better chemistry deduction problem score.2. Chemistry deduction problem schema training significantly improves students' schema level.3. Chemistry deduction problem schema training significantly improves students' level in deduction problem solving.4. Different types of students benefit differently from chemistry deduction problem schema training: low-scored students benefit most in deduction problem schema level and high-scored students benefit most in deduction problem solving level.
