| In recent years, Central Party and Ministry of Education issued documents for many times, to emphasize the strength of the university students' comprehensive character development by various ways. University students' mental health education is one of the important contents of the university and college implement overall education for all-round development. More and more educators pay attention to a question nowadays: How to help and instruct the university student raise their mental character, sound personality, ability of accepting frustration and adapting to the environment, to rightly understand themselves, to fully develop potential, to make the comprehensive character acquire overall development and raise, to become the constructor and the successor of the socialism with the characteristic of ages.This topic studies adopts philological method, taking Marxist theories as guide, to use the knowledge of philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, ethics, sociology, politics etc., According to university students' EQ education and the characteristics of the moral character development, announces the inside relationship between university students' EQ and moral character, analyzes university students' EQ and moral character have related relation, indicates EQ education is helpful to change university students' moral character, providing a kind of new way of thinking of university student's moral character education.This paper has three parts other than the introduction and conclusion. The first part introduces EQ's concept, importance and the condition of university students' EQ education .The second part introduces the moral character and its importance, then analyzes the condition and the characteristics of university students' moral character. The third part elaborates the relationship between university students' EQ and moral character, finally, points out that to improve university students' EQ education is the important path for the development of university students' moral character.
