When we mentioned management model of universities of one country, we will classify them as"British Model","French Model"or"American Model". However, Canadian Universities cannot be classified because every university has its own management model. They were modeled on Britain, America or other countries when founded, thereafter they adjusted their management to the development of Universities. Canadian Universities have great autonomy and they will adjust their management model by themselves. The author made a comparison of these three management models of Canadian Universities, tracked down their characteristics and the factors affecting their differences and thus gave inspiration to the reform of management of Chinese universities. The author first summarized the striking features in each developing period of Canadian higher education, the great events, and the present higher education systems and the role played by all levels of government. Secondly, the author described the management model of University of Toronto, Queen's University and University of Alberta, developing course and characteristics of models. In the last chapter, the author made a horizontal and vertical comparison of them, and found out the factors affecting the differences.
