The teacher motivation is the most important part in the process of teacher management. However, when looking at secondary school's teacher motivation at present, we find that teacher motivation has always been constantly reinforced by utilitarianism. The contradictions between utilitarianism tendencies and teacher's pursuit of educational ethics are growing in breath and in depth. Therefore, this paper attempts to improve our teacher motivation to fit for ethics by both ethical scanning and integration motivation with ethics, just liking integration management with ethics.In the second chapter this paper expounds that the teacher should be a ethical-seeker according to the ethical character of education. Then, three essential concepts, namely, incentive, incentive ethic and ethic incentive, are elaborated. According to two different final moral criteria,the relations between incentive ethic and ethic incentive are elaborated too. Based on all above, three ethical principles are put forward: principle of humanity, principle of reasonable benefit and principle of equal respect.In the third and fourth chapter this paper makes an ethical scan of the teacher motivation that contains incentive humanity hypothesis, incentive system and methods. These discussions are based on teacher motivation practice of J junior school and S middle school.And in the last chapter this paper brings forward suggestions of ethics: Should deal with well relations between ends and means; relations between incentive ethic and ethic incentive; relationships of headmaster , teacher and pupil; and relationships of professional ethic, professional skill and professional knowledge. Meanwhile, author insists that ethical teacher motivation should be rational, timely and suitable. Consequently, four professional suggestions on the improving teacher motivation are advanced. That is, it should be in purpose of teacher professional development to make the teacher motivation mechanism better; it should be basic on building incentive system to make the construction of teacher motivation mechanism better; it should be on the way paying more attention to ethic while building system to make teacher ethical level higher; it should be on the leadership of value to make the incentive culture more active. This paper strives to ethical scan of teacher motivation on the basis of continuous reflections on the practice of teacher incentive and constant quest for the objective of teacher encouragement. This paper attempts to improve our teacher motivation practice to give better service of educational ethical objective through ethical scan.
