With difficulty in job hunting as well as changes in corporations' require, the knowledge and ability which learned from school are short for the corporations' require. People need to learn more practical knowledge in other was. Thus, collectively-owned vocational training institutions have attracted more and more attention. However, there were not many researches on collectively-owned vocational training institutions in China. What is the current situation of collectively-owned vocational training institutions? How about their future development? With these questions, this thesis tries to study the development issue of collectively-owned vocational training institutions.There are many of focus points in the development of collectively-owned vocational training institutions; we can investigate them from different aspects. This paper researched from the point of organizational identity construction. Nowadays, this society has attached great importance to identity. Competitions between companies are more and more focus on identity competition. The more well-known a company is, the more it emphasizes its self-identity construction.Through phone-interview and internet investigation, the paper grasped the information of collectively-owned vocational training institutions in Chongqing. It is noticed that 31i vocational training school have done well. Both its internal assessing and external assessing are comparatively high. Thus, this paper investigated 31i professional training school to study the organizational identity construction of collectively-owned vocational training institutions in Chongqing. Due to the limitation of time and personal ability, this paper mainly focuses on collectively-owned profession train institutions which recruiting students only.This paper started with consulting literature, and then defined the "identity of collectively-owned profession train institutions" from the following three dimensions: subject, object and their relationship. Then, by using the investigation methods of interview and literature, and referring to the previous research results, we managed to define the investigation dimension of collectively-owned vocational training institutions' identity. This provided the basis for the preparation of the questionnaire. Through survey, we research on the current situation of organizational identity constructions of collectively-owned vocational training institutions in Chongqing. Finally, we drew the conclusion:(1) The subject public considered that the current employment situation is not so optimistic. The main reason for why it is difficult to find a job is the shortage of comprehensive quality. In the interview, most people believed comprehensive quality was the most important factor and solid vocational skills were keys to successful employment. Therefore, collectively-owned vocational training institution is going to play more and more important roles in training students to master vocational skills to be employed. On the other hand, the public's demand of collectively-owned profession training institutions is higher. To meet these requirements and survive in a fierce competition, the organizational identity construction of collectively-owned vocational training institutions is imminent.(2) Although most people considered that vocational qualification training is important, they didn't know very well about the private vocational training institutions in Chongqing. The main reason is every private vocational training institutions haven't created their own features identity identified system, let alone the overall publicity. To make things worse, the public are even tired of the existing publicity.(3) The public generally think the identity of training institutions is the main reason in affecting their choice of training institutions. Among three components of identity, visual identity has a primitive effect but it is not a decisive role; Idea is core which makes people determine whether to choose or not; Behavior identity is an important supporting factor which makes people evaluate the quality of training institutions and decide whether they would recommend this training institutions to close friends or classmates after training. (4) People take training to improve their professional ability at first; moreover, they still want to improve their overall quality and the ability to adapt to social development. This is a big enlightenment for behavior identity of private vocational training institutions.(5) Identity construction of private vocational training institutions in Chongqing is not perfect yet. Few training institution paid attention to their identity construction. Therefore, there is a long way to go in identity-building of private vocational training institutions in Chongqing.Then, the questionnaire was prepared to investigate the organizational identity construction of Chongqing 31i vocational training school. From the results, we can draw a conclusion of experience in their identity-building and go further study about identity-building of Chongqing private vocational training institutions.
