Research Of Sichuan College Disciplinary Structure Adjustment Based On Industrial Structure Evolution

Since the reform and opening, with the development of economy and adjustment of industrial structure, the requirement for talents of each industry has been changed. And the talent's supply of higher education should adapt to the change. As an important part of talent's supply structure, the college disciplinary structure reflected the basic request of specialized talent in sorts, specifications and knowledge abilities and qualities. So the adjustment of college disciplinary structure should adapt to the development of economy especially adapt to the evolution of industry structure. But in recent years, the structure of talent development has been maladjusted, and the maladjustment of disciplinary structure has been main manifestation.With the development of economy and society, the discipline adjustment and specialty arrangement should adapt to the development. Coordinating scientifically the relationship between education and economy and optimizing the relationship between college disciplinary structure and economic development is very important. And it's theoretical and practical significant to research the relationship between industrial structure and college disciplinary structure.In former research on the relationship between industrial structure and college disciplinary structure, there are two main points of view. One view is talent's supply and demand; another is disciplinary structure and economic development. In these researches, qualitative analysis is more than quantitative analysis.Based on the former research, this paper uses the qualitative and quantitative analysis to further research the relationship between industrial structure and college disciplinary structure. First, the paper points out that industrial structure evolution drive the change of talent's demand and college disciplinary structure. Second, the paper uses the data of Sichuan economic and educational development to research how the Sichuan industrial structure evolution promoting college disciplinary structure adjustment. When carrying through quantitative analysis, the paper uses the increment of each industrial production value and each disciplinary student quantity to analyze by correlation and regression. The results reveal that the disciplines of economy and society science are influenced by the development of second and third industry by which the disciplines of engineering and natural science are also influenced. The disciplines of human science are mainly influenced by the evolution of third industry. And the discipline of agriculture is non-influenced by any industrial development.By the regression analysis, the paper constructs the regression model of Sichuan industrial structure evolution promoting college disciplinary structure adjustment. Based on the model, the paper analyzes the direction of the college disciplinary structure adjustment. In the end, the paper puts forward three policy suggestions. First, enlarging the scale of higher education; second, adjusting the enrollment of each discipline; third, integrating specialty arrangement.
