Study On The Speciality Structure Of Higher Education In Jiangxi Under The Background Of Economic Structure Restructuring

Different prefectures choose different economic development strategies, due tothe differences in the economic foundation, level of development of productive forcesand resource superiority.Their economic structure is also showing a different state.The external relation law of education indicates that education must adapt to socialdevelopment. When this law is exerted in high education area, it means the talents thathigh education developed should meet the needs of local economic and socialdevelopment especially. Specialty is regarded as the basic unit of talents developmentin colleges and universities, it’s structure determines the size and type of talents.Therefore, only when the specialty structure is constantly adapting to the regionaleconomic structure can the high education provide continuous and qualified humanresources for sustainable economic development.In recent years, the economic has developed rapidly in Jiangxi Province. On thethe road from traditional agricultural province towards to modern industrial province,Can the specialty structure of high education in Jiangxi positively respond to thedemands of talents under the background of economic structure restructuring?Whether the specialty structure is consistent with the economic development trends ornot? How can the high education play a role in economic development as far aspossible? These issues are worth consideration carefully.This paper takes undergraduate and junior college specialty structure of JiangxiProvince as research objects. It has in-depth research on the status of specialtystructure from the situation of specialties type and settings, the specialties distributionand the new specialties, by using literature review, historical research, statisticalanalysis. There are three major problems found in Jiangxi specialty structure of higheducation:1.The specialty rate of coverage is low while the internal differences arelarge;2.Specialties setup repeatedly and the situation of homogeneity is serious;3.Specialty structure isn’t consistent with the economic development well very.Combining with the economic structure status and the result of quantitative analysis,we consider that the adjustment of high education specialty structure in Jiangxi shouldtake adapting to the economic development as keypoint in the future. The general ideaof adjustment includes the following three aspects:1.Expanding the autonomy ofuniversities in specialty setup, at the same time government should strengthen the macro management;2.Pushing the connotation construction of speciatly forward tocreat brand and highlighting its features;3.Making the specialty caliber suitable andsetting the specialty orientation flexibly.
