Young teachers play the important role in middle school. Their vocational adaptation is concerned about the development of themselves, the students and the school. Some researches show that occupational burnout comes with most young teachers. It is necessary to make a research about the vocational adaptation level and its determinants of young teachers.Using data from 361 young teachers in Yexian Henan Province and such theory as human capital, social capital and reference group, the article describes the young teachers'vocational adaptation level and its determinants.The study shows, the overall vocational adaptation level of young teachers lies in a high level. In contrast to the technology adaptation level and the relation adaptation level, the psychology adaptation level is lower.The determinants of the vocational adaptation level of young teachers are: the support of family, living concern, work approval, society respect, work age, occupation expectation, approbation of occupation norm, relative satisfaction of work, wages satisfaction. These factors indicate that the congenial factors are not connected to the vocational adaptation level of young teachers, however, factors of human capital, social capital and reference group affect the vocational adaptation level of young teachers.These findings lead to a perspective on the vocational adaptation level of young teachers. It describes the relationship between the human capital ,social capital, reference group and vocational adaptation level of young teachers. It turns out to be that, relatively, the vocational adaptation level of young teachers may be mostly affected by determinants of the social capital.
