A Study On Graduate Cultivating Model Reform Based On Changes Of Graduate Employment Trend

With rapid expansion of the graduate enrolment in China,hunting for job has becoming much harder for postgraduates. More and more universities and institutes only hire graduates with doctoral degree as their staffs. Facing the new situation,what kind of change the trend of graduate employment have occur? Do the cultivating model could fit the trend nicely? Those are straight relative not only to deepening graduate employment system innovation,but also to both reformation and development of higher education,graduate individual interest and the whole social economy.The research introduces the history of graduate cultivating model of our country,and summarizes common rule in them. With Huazhong University of Science &Technology as the empirical case,starts from the relationship between graduates employment and cultivating model. According to four different phases(1982-1985,1989-1992,1995-1998,2001-2004),there were five specialties(higher education,Mechanics etc)were surveyed. It focused on the study on the move tendency of the graduates in recent 20 years. The paper analyzes the current situations of obtaining employment of graduate and existent problems. On the base,countermeasures have been put forward accordingly at last.
