Study Of University Students' Leisure Life Style

At present, the university students in our country have got abundant leisure time, the quality of the university students' leisure life directly affects if they can develop themselves healthily and completely. Furthermore, it will even affect the advance and development of the future society. As a social group, university students have high knowledge level for receiving higher education. Therefore, they own the unique social position and will be serving a fundamental function in the national construction and social life in the future. The university students' leisure life is an essential part in the university students' life style. The reasonable use of leisure time and health leisure life style have become important factors which affect their health growth and have inestimable influence to their socialization and maturity. It has become a question which be taken highly in the theory and practice to pay our attention to the university students' leisure life style.On the grounds of expounding elementary theory frame of leisure and leisure life style and based on the questionnaire on the present situation of leisure time spending to 146 university students at Harbin Engineering University, these traits are found: Firstly, university students' leisure time is sufficient but varied with sex and grade. Secondly, university students' leisure activities which include individuality and collectivity are multiple. Thirdly, the internet and reading are the most significant carrier of university students' leisure activities. Fourthly, leisure activity spaces include university and society. Fifthly, the university students think leisure time is necessary to them and their understanding to leisure life is multi-dimensional. Sixthly, the scope of university students' social communication is narrow and small, their tendency to think highly of crosswise associates and look down on longitudinal contact is quite obvious. According to the investigation result, we can know the sex, the specialty, the grade, the source area and the economical situation have influences to university students' leisure life style in varying degrees. Afterwards, combining the present social background with university students' characteristics, the thesis makes some theoretic discussion about questions and solutions which are found in the university students' leisure life. Meanwhile, the dissertation forecasts the university students' leisure life in the future in order to enhance the quality of university students' leisure life and promote their health growth and the comprehensive development.
