To meet the requirement for the cultivation of innovative and practical people, the new curriculum reform emphasizes its pluralism and diversity. Currently, the school-based curriculum has become a focus of the curriculum reform.According to the analysis of the environment inside and outside the school, especially the learning needs of students, the author attempts to develop "the senior high school biology expansion" school-based curriculum and bring it into effect."The senior high school biology expansion" school-based curriculum, which is on the basis of the national and local curriculum to meet the different high school students' needs of the life sciences and supported by the high school biology teaching content for the appropriate development, is a curriculum on the school teachers' independent establishment, implementation and evaluation.School-based curricular course target of "the senior high school biology expansion" rightly lies in the control process during which students are fully enabled to choose characteristic knowledge so as to develop science quest interest, gain science quest methods, raise science cultivated manners, and to develop science spirit as well; Furthermore, students are encouraged to develop self-study ability and thinking ability, making use of biological knowledge and science exploration methods to resolve some practical problems existing in our life and production. Under the guidance of the course target, the content of school-based curricular course of "the senior high school biology expansion" makes full consideration of students' and social further development, the curricular resources included. With four modules and twelve special subjects in all, the teaching content is delicately designed."The senior high school biology expansion" is carried out in the form of elective for students to choose independently, based on different teaching modules with different teaching methods : Biology Science History is taught with the method of experiencing knowledge exploration process; Expansion of experimental school-based course contents with science and knowledge teaching method; Interactive education of school-based curricular contents in certain learning environment with cases - based teaching method; education of school- based biology technology with the method of the combination of modern multimedia and discussion.This course of the senior high school biology expansion" implements the research experiment method. The research objects are the grade two students coming from Liang Feng senior middle school of Jiangsu province.
