A Study On Modern Distance Education Resource Teaching Application Of Primary And Middle Schools In Southern Countryside Of Ningxia

The southern mountain area of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region contains one district (Yuanzhou district) and seven counties (Haiyuan, Xiji, Longde, Pengyang, Jinyuan, Zhongwei and Yanchi). This part covers half of the autonomous region. It is the most concentrated community where Hui people live and meanwhile, it is also well-known throughout the country for its poverty and less-development. Education in this area lagges far behind because of the severe educational environment, the shortage of teachers and less-developed educational methods and means.Therefore, it is very significant to apply the distance learning to the rural primary and middle schools with the purpose of improving the development and equality of education in this area. In addition, it is also very meaningful in improving the education and economy of Ningxia as a whole. But we should also be aware that the project of distance learning in the rural primary and middle schools is a systems engineering. It involves various kinds of factors, such as: the basic hardware facilities, the building of the educational resources, the appliance of the resources on education and teaching, the training of the human resources and the replacement of the follow-up resources and so on. While we are actively building the basic hardware facilities of the distance learning, we should see to it that the resources are used reasonably and efficiently in teaching, because that is a reflection of the function and purpose of the distance learning in rural primary and middle schools. In other words, the influence of the distance learning on the education of the rural primary and middle schools is mainly reflected on the aspect of resources. The reasonable and efficient appliance of the resources determines the efficiency and function of the distance learning.Therefore, my thesis classifies the resources of distance learning into hardware resources, software resources and human resources. Then I spread out my investigation in the following five aspects: the origin of the hardware and software, the appliance in education (the frequency, means and effect of the appliance), the daily management of the hardware and software, the evaluation on the appliance in teaching, and the training of the human resources. Finally I draw the conclusion on how the resources of distance learning is being used in the south of Ningxia, the problems in the real appliance and the main strategies for the appliance of the resources in the rural primary and middle schools in southern mountain area of Ningxia.
