Chinese is one of the basic required courses for all majors of students in" secondary school. Chinese teaching plays an important role in improving students' political quality, scientific and cultural quality, learning other courses well, forming comprehensive vocational and creative abilities and further studying. Chinese extracurricular reading in secondary school exist many problems. This paper reviews Chinese reading status in the current secondary school, analysis Chinese reading status and have a initial reading understanding. The author use these information for the survey research and analysis. And On the basis of education, psychology , teaching theory , prepare for the study questionnaire . The questionnaire survey analyze students' motivation, attitude, interest and behavior of reading. The students' reading questionnaire returned data was analyzed through data processing. The major results were summarized as follows: (l).Students' leisure reading is mainly to spend their leisure time. (2)Few students engaged in Chinese extracurricular reading. Most students spend their spare time on television, networks or other time., (3).Students in secondary school are few channels for extracurricular reading. (4)Few students Developed a reading habit. (5).Few students with a good reading, the teacher rarely guide students study.Based on research results, the study proposes the following suggestions: (l)Chinese teachers in Secondary school should change their teaching concepts . (2)To fully understand the language reading the role and significance. (3)Create a good environment for studying. (4)Arouse students' interest in extra-curricular reading. (5)Strengthen students reading with the guidance. (6)Teach students extracurricular reading methods and develop good reading habits. (7)Reading in exchange, organizing extracurricular reading inspection and supervision. (8)Teach students literature appreciation and promote students' the humanities. (9)To broaden students to read channels, multiple train students interested in reading.
