Purpose: Investigate the influence of time management disposition training on mental health and academic performance; develop time management disposition training manual. Method: Experiment method. Tool: 1.Hua Xiting's Adolescence Time Management Disposition Inventory (ATMD). 2. Wang Jisheng's Chinese Middle School Students Mental Health Scale. 3. Time Management Disposition Training Manual developed by Jin Junwei. Result: 1.After time management disposition training, the students in experiment class scored significantly higher than those who are in non-experimental class did in ATMD total, the sense of time control, planning, the sense of time efficacy, efficacy of time management behaviors. The significant level is above P<0.05, in which the significant level of the sense of time efficacy and efficacy of time management behaviors is P<0.01. But in the sense of time value, the difference between them is not significant. 2. After time management disposition training, the difference between the two groups in mental symptom total is not significant. But in study stress, coping disadjustment, mental unbalance, the students of experiment class scored significantly lower than the non-experimental students. The significant level is P<0.05. 3. After time management disposition training, the difference between the two groups in academic performance is not significant. 4. In the effect of time management disposition training, there is gender effect. After time management disposition training, the difference between the male students of the two groups is not significant; but the difference between the female students is significant in time management disposition and mental health. The female students of the experiment class scored significantly higher than those from non-experimental class in time management disposition and lower in mental symptom. Conclusion: 1 .The junior middle school students' time management disposition can be improved by time management disposition training. Our manual of time management disposition training is effective. It can be used as the material of time management disposition training. 2. The training of time management disposition has some effect on the improvement of junior middle school students' mental health. It can effectively ease the students' study stress, improve the students' coping ability, and promote the students' mental balance. 3. The effect of time management disposition training on the academic performance is not significant. 4. In the effect of time management disposition training, there is gender effect. The effect of time management disposition training to the male students is not significant. But to the female students, it is significant: it can significantly improve their time management disposition and their mental health level.
