Academic Emotions were focused by many psychologists.Researchers have found that academic emotions are related to academic achievement.However,it is still an open question that how academic emotions influence academic achievement.Researchers in China have focused on Time Management Disposition(TMD)recently,because many studies show that TMD is related to academic emotions,and it also influences the students' academic achievement.This research studies the relationships among academic emotions,TMD and academic achievement.And it explored whether TMD plays an mediation role between academic emotions and academic achievement.Based on the Academic Emotion Questionnaire established by Dong and Yu(2007)and the Time Management Disposition Scale developed by Huang and Zhang(2001),we collected the data from a random sample of 407 junior students in Jinan.At the same time we used the results of the students' scores in the end-of-year final exam as the data of academic achievement.By analyzing the raw data of questionnaire using SPSS 19.0,we have the following conclusions:(1)In junior high school male's positive low arousal academic emotion is higher significantly than that of female.And female's negative high arousal academic emotion and negative low arousal academic emotion are higher significantly than those of male.(2)In junior high school male's sense of time value is higher significantly than that of female.(3)In junior high school academic achievement is significantly and positively correlated with positive academic emotion.And is significantly and negatively correlated with negative academic emotion.TMD and its each dimension are significantly and positively correlated with positive academic emotion.And they are significantly and negatively correlated with negative academic emotion.TMD and its each dimension are significantly correlated with academic achievement.(4)The sense of time value partially mediates the relationship between positive low arousal academic emotion and academic achievement.The sense of time control partially mediates the relationship between positive high arousal academic emotion and academic achievement and it also partially mediates the relationship between positive low arousal academic emotion and academic achievement.The sense of time efficacy completely mediates the relationship between positive high arousal academic emotion and academic achievement.And it partially mediates the relationship between negative high arousal academic emotion and academic achievement.Based on the main results,we give following suggestions: To help junior high students to improve their grades,teachers and parents should pay attention to their academic emotions.It's necessary to develop students' positive academic emotions and avoid their negative academic emotions.It is also important to develop the junior high students' ability of time management.
