Purpose: This article was to study the difference of physical activity level and physical fitness factors between obese and normal-weight college students. It also attempted to give a further study on the relationship between physical activity level and physical fitness factors. Finally, that summarizing information of all the data and further analyzing and sorting out it make college students and their parents, even whole society re-understand concept of health. So it provided certain theory and practice, In successfully carrying out the PE teaching reform, it have positive realistic meanings. Methods: Subjects of this study are freshman and sophomore from university of technology Da lian. This article select qualified 323 college students and classify them into four group(obese male:95,normal weight male: 113,obese female:60,normal weight female:55). The mean age of these college students were 20.28±0.95years old. They were questioned from international physical activity questionnaire and were tested from physical fitness and health. According to these data, this article adopted statistical method of Mann-Whitney of nonparametric tests to compare difference of physical activity level and physical activity level of its four parts and adopted independent-samples T test to contrast difference of physical fitness between obese and normal-weight college students, further adopted statistical method of Pearson correlation to analyze relationship of their physical activity level and physical fitness.Result and Conclusion: 1, In overall physical activity energy expenditure, normal-weight male and female college students had significantly higher physical activity level than that of obese male and female college students. Physical activity level is classified into four parts in physical activity questionnaire. In work related(college)physical activity, obese male or female college students' physical activity level was lower than that of normal-weight male or female college students in vigorous and moderate physical activity. Physical activity energy expenditure of obese and normal-weight college students had no difference in walking. In transport-related physical activity, physical activity of obese and normal-weight college students had no difference in cycling. In domestic and gardening (yard) activities, obese male or female college students' physical activity level had no difference in yard' hard and moderate physical activity. They also have no difference in domestic moderate physical activity. In leisure time physical activity, obese male college students' physical activity was significantly lower than that of normal-weight college students in vigorous physical activity. However, physical activity of obese and normal-weight female college students had no difference in vigorous physical activity. Normal-weight male or female' physical activity is significantly superior to that of obese male or female in moderate physical activity. 2, On college students' physical fitness performance, scores of obese male or female college students are higher than that of normal-weight college students in BMI index, and they had an significant difference. In spiro-index,step test, standing long jump, obese male or female college students were significantly lower than normal-weight male or female college students. In grip strength body weight index,normal-weight college students are significantly superior to obese college students. In sit-up,obese female college students are significantly lower than normal-weight female college srudents.3,college students'overall physical activity energy expenditure was significantly correlated to their physical fitness. In conclusion, the students in the obese group show inferior performance in physical fitness and lack for physical activities. And college students'physical activities are closely interrelated to their physical fitness. Therefore, the students are encouraged to participate in physical exercises more often. The more physical exercises they participate in,the better performance they will show in physical fitness.
