Teacher education is a professional education for cultivating teachers, including pre-service teacher training and in-service teacher training. The curriculum institution of teacher education is one of the focal points of teacher education reform, it stipulates the curriculum goals,curriculum structure and curriculum contents, and impacts on the quality of teacher education, so it plays an important role in teacher education research.This thesis mainly discusses the curriculum institution of teacher education. Firstly, it analyzes the theoretical factors and social factors which influence the curriculum institution of teacher education in India; secondly, it discusses India's curriculum institution of teacher education; lastly, it sums up the characteristics of the curriculum institution of teacher education in India and puts forward the enlightenment to improving China's curriculum institution of teacher education. There are four parts in this thesis.The first part is a brief introduction, presenting the background, relevant researches, methods, and definition of core conceptions.The second part is the analysis of the theoretical factors and social factors which influence the curriculum institution of teacher education in India. The theoretical factors include the theory of lifelong education and the theory of teacher's specialization. The social factors mainly come from economy and politics. Then, it analyses the influences of India's economy and politics on the curriculum institution of teacher education in India.The third part is the curriculum institution of teacher education in India. In this part, it includes management system of teacher education curriculum, the pre-service teacher training and the in-service teacher training in India. The curriculum goals, structures, contents of teacher education in India are introduced to reflect the curriculum institution of teacher education.The fourth part is the characteristics of the curriculum institution of teacher education in India and the enlightenment to improving China's curriculum institution of teacher education. On one hand, some problems in China's curriculum institution of teacher education are pointed out; on the other hand, it puts forward some suggestions for improving China's curriculum institution of teacher education.
