Henan General Public Universities Sports Implement The "Three Autonomous" Investigation And Research On Teaching

In August, 2002,the Ministry of Education issued"The Guiding Outline of Sports Program of National Universities"("New Outline"for short). Article 9 of the New Outline specifies that college students, under the guidance of their teachers, have the freedom to choose the content of their courses to an independent degree, elect their teachers to an independent degree, and determine their own school hours to an independent degree ("Three Independence"for short). In o order to deeply implement the spirit of the"New Outline"and grasp the direction of the course reform in new era, the survey adopts literature search, investigation and mathematical statistics, etc. And a comprehensive survey and research on the teaching status of implementation of"Three Independence"in universities of Henan province, was conducted. The conclusions of the survey are as follows.Undergraduate colleges and universities in Henan province introduced the "three independence" teaching in the implementation of the new"Guiding Outline",but the situation was not very satisfactory. Among all the surveyed undergraduate colleges and universities only one fully implemented this program, 90 percent of the undergraduate college students were able to choose the course content independently, namely"one independence"and has made certain achievements. However, only two colleges carried out the program that the students can choose their teachers and school hours independently."Three independent" Teaching students to change the implementation of passive learning situation, reflects the "people-oriented" spirit, the reaction of the students for the purpose of service is conducive to the development of student's personality, has expanded the scope of exchanges of students and improve the community Adaptability. The implementation of the "three independent" teaching college sports reform has become a new trend.On the basis of comprehensive understanding and mastering the present situation of the implementation of the"three independence"teaching in undergraduate colleges and universities in Henan province, the study found the existing problems and Constraints in the areas such as teachers, space equipment, curriculum, management and evaluation, and did related research on specific methods and steps on how to carry out the "three independent," and proposed related suggestion on the emerging problems.The expected results of the survey will be adopted as the feedback to provide guiding documents for Education Administrative Departments of Henan province. It also provides the basis and reference for practice for Physical Education Reforms in National Universities toward a more comprehensive development of a healthier direction.
