Physical Education Colleges And Universities Of Henan Province And The Reform Of The Current Situation

College Sport is an important convergence point of social sport and school sport, and it is also the final stage of school sport. As a key part of college sport, physical education focuses on developing students' moral, intellectual and physical ability. It is also an important part of cultivating high-qualified personnel, which directly affect the health of them. Therefore, the Reformation of College Physical Education is a non-faded topic, and as the main means of College Physical Education, the designing of curriculum is even more eye-catching. With the continuous development of the times, the Ministry of Education put forward new demands on PE curriculum reformation. In August,2002, the Ministry of Education formally promulgated the "National College Physical Education and Health Course Guidelines Program"(herein after referred to as the new "Program"). According to the characteristics of the present era, the New "Program" made clear requests on the guiding ideology of teaching, course structure, course content, course evaluation, and so on and so forth, which are also new requests on the designing of College Physical Education curriculum at present.This paper implies the method of literature, expert interview, questionnaire and other research method.It takes the PE curriculum status of some colleges of Henan province for study. According to regional economic development, this paper picks Zhengzhou University, Henan University, Science and Technology Institute of the Yellow River, Henan Institute of Technology, Xinyang Normal University and other 20 colleges and universities for the survey. Those schools are all from key provincial universities and colleges.The paper does an overall systematically research to understand the guidelines, course type, course structure, content and other aspects of Henan compulsory Physical Education status, as well as analyses the influential factors of it, which provides reference data for the reformation of physical education. The results show that:Universities and colleges in Henan Province already regard "Health Goes First, Life-Long Sports"as the guiding ideology of physical education. The content of physical education becomes more and more diversified. Teachers generally began to use the method of Comprehensive evaluation on students' physical performance. However, there are still some problems existing in the College Physical Education of Henan Province in the reformation process:Some colleges' PE curriculum does not have enough courses. The types of PE curriculumcontent can not be completed to meet the needs of the students. The sports theory classes occupies small proportion of the number of hours. The team of PE teachers continues to show a scene of immature, which indicates the insufficient of stuffs and decreases the improving process. In the system of PE evaluation, process evaluation occupies a small proportion, which is not conducive to the physical education. The insufficient funds results in the untimely hardware adaptation, which seriously affects the conduct of physical education. Moreover, this paper also put forward some suggestions in accordance with the problems found:The content of physical education curriculum should be constantly enriched. Teachers should insert the learning of physical education theory during the teaching process. Schools should re-educate teachers to improve their capability. Schools also should put a larger amount of PE funds on improving the quality of hardware, physical education facilities. All those issues above willconstantly improve the Physical Education Assessment System, and make it more scientific and reasonable.This paper only points out the problems emerged during reformation of the Colleges and Universities Physical Education in Henan Province, and with proposals for reformation put forward.
