Educational equity is one kind of ideal and pursuit which human society has for a long time. On the one hand, the pursuit of educational equity constitutes the indispensable motive of human society development. On the other hand, educational equity is one of essential conditions for individual development. Whether receive the fair treatment in the educational system or not, was very important to individual development. Presently, the development of economy and society, and the educational reform entered a new stage which takes the harmonious society of socialism as the goal. The party and the country proposed the policy to pay more attention to the social justice. And educational equity is the soul of universal education. Social justice won't be achieved without educational equity. The educational equity has already become the focal point to which people pay attention. To research educational equity has very strong practical significance.This research's attention lies in the educational equity of postgraduate stage. The comprehensive surveys of domestic and foreign research have not involved the educational equity of postgraduate stage. The articles mainly concentrate about the research of educational equity in the compulsory education stage, at the beginning of the high school stage, or do not differentiate the higher educational stage. This article extracts the postgraduate education from the higher education and carries on the discussion emphatically because of the particularity of postgraduate education. It adopts qualitative approach and collects materials through the interview to find how it affects individual's achievement and educational equity.As for admission opportunities, in the light of the background of increased enrollment and the particularity of the postgraduate enrollment system, the research separately carries on the inspection from such four aspects: the family economic and social background, gender, the differences of individual qualifications, the existing achievements. Through the analysis of empirical materials, the research reveals the family economic and social background and the existing achievements challenge for the equity of educational starting point from the micro level. In educational process, family economic and social background affects the individual's campus life and learning obviously, in the performance of affecting the specific conditions and the access to learning opportunities. In addition, because of their different schools, social individual also has differences in obtaining the school resources and the resources surrounding the school. Thus it affects the educational process equity of postgraduate stage. On the presentation of results, the individual from upper social stratum family has advantages in the competition of employment and accepting the further education. Although the gender factor affects the acquisition of the entrance opportunities and achievements relatively small, it affects the presentation of educational result obviously. The female are in the disadvantageous position in the employment market and accepting further education.In this research, two aspects are worth paying attention. First, through the inspection of various ascribed and achieved factors which affect the education of postgraduate stage, the author thinks that ascribed factor is not the only factor which challenges for educational equity. In fact, ascribed factor influences the educational equity of postgraduate stage by the covert way together with the achieved factor. Second, the author believes that it should be a dynamic process to discuss educational results. And we should unify the educational result and the further development of social individual. We not only need discuss the factor affecting educational result, but also we should discuss how the results influence the further development of social individual. This will be conducive to research educational equity from a broader perspective and go out of the blind pursuit of educational result.
