| Life education originates from the USA. Its original form is the death education which American scholars began to delve into in the 1920s. During the process of development, it became an educational subject that studied life and death, and hence was called"life-and-death education". Meanwhile, numerous western developed countries carry out life education in primary and high schools. At the end of the 19th century, it has been basically popularized. In the 1990s, life education was introduced into China, and has gradually become a focus of discussion and study.Geography is an ancient subject. It fulfils rational and sensible functions on teaching and learning of senior high from its distinct views of approaching the nature and the macro-development of life. Then, it is not only a focus but also possesses practical meanings to connect life education and geographical teaching and learning of high schools.Based on the literature review of life education, this thesis abstracts and summarizes the present various definitions of life education. Then, the paper explores the practical strategies of connecting geographical teaching and learning with life education, according to this definition and the collection of numerous materials.The first part summarizes life education and its meaning. The second part clarifies the relationship between geographical subject and life education. The third part discusses the lack of life education in the present geographical teaching and learning. As the core of the thesis, the fourth part analyzes the distribution of the content of the life education in the geography of high schools, and forms and teaching methodology of implementing life education of the geographical subject. |
