Research On The Strategy Of Cultivating Geographical Practical Ability Based On Local Resources

Geography has strong practicality.The newly revised standard for senior high school geography curriculum also ranks geographical practical ability as one of the four core qualities of geography,which can be seen that the cultivation of geographical practical ability has drawn the attention and emphasis of geography education circles.However,due to the influence of traditional educational concepts and student safety issues,the current situation of geographical practice activities in first-line schools is not optimistic and students’geographical practical ability is relatively weak.The local geography contains a large number of valuable and practical teaching resources,and plays an important role in carrying out geographical practice activities and cultivating students’geographical practical ability.Therefore,studying how to use local resources to cultivate students’geographical practical ability is of great significance in implementing the requirements of new geography curriculum standards and promoting the reform of new geography curriculum.This paper adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview survey,field investigation,action research,comprehensive analysis,etc.Taking Dehua No.1 Middle School of Fujian as an example,this paper states the current situation of the geographical practical ability based on local resources and analyzes the present problems and reasons through questionnaires and interviews among teachers and students in the school.On the basis of investigation and practice,this paper explores the strategy of cultivating geographical practical ability based on local resources.It mainly includes the construction of geography practice base based on local resources,the development and implement of geography practice curriculum based on local resources and the construction of evaluation system based on the cultivation of geographical practical ability.Finally,taking the ceramic industry of Dehua as the research object,the school-based practice of cultivating geographical practical ability based on local resources and research-based learning activities were carried out to verify the feasibility of the above training strategies.
