The statement of Education of Innovation has reflected the objective laws of the development of human society, manifested the urgent need of the personnel training of the knowledge-based economy. It is also the need of deepening the educational reform and implementing the quality-oriented education.The teaching of writing is a major approach to cultivating students'overall quality and developing their mode of thinking. After years of hard--working, many successful and useful experiences about middle school teaching of writing either in the studies of teaching theories or in the exploration of teaching methods have been accumulated. But on the whole, some problems do exist and the status quo of teaching is not so optimistic. One of the most prominent problems is the phenomenon that many teachers teach writing in the same way which leads to the fact that the students'essays have much in common and lack of personal characteristics.This thesis starts with the analysis of the reasons for the formation of the present situation. With reference to foreign teaching methods and other teachers'experiences, the thesis then puts forward the ways of realizing innovative thinking and personalized writing. Namely, the teacher as a designer, guide, organizer and supervisor need to eliminate the orientation of the simplification of writing and give the students'the rights to express their feelings, emotions and understanding freely. The chosen topics should be fresh, lively and open and can provide students with abundant imagination. The teacher-student- interactive way of correction could be adopted, a scientific appraisal system need to be established.In the process of teaching, the teacher needs to cultivate the student's new way of thinking and encourage their personalized writing. Some suggestions are put forward as follows:First, to provide opportunities for students to experience life so as to enhance their observing and aesthetic faculty; Second, to eliminate the barrier and stimulate appropriately and advocate that the composition need to express true feelings and give the positive guidance;, Third, to design the practical and feasible thinking- training methods, cultivate the innovative thinking quality carefully; Fourth, to encourage students to express themselves taking advantage of their strong points and their specific aesthetic taste.All in all, it is extremely important for teachers to provide students with a free and relaxed space and an environment in which they can display their particular personality. The teaching of writing need to attach great importance to cultivating the students'innovative thinking and encouraging their creative expression and gradually lay the basis for the formation and development of a sound personality.
