Since the policy of the reform and the opening to the world,the Chinese elementary education system has obtained magnificent achievement in the construction of it's educational curriculum.It achievement has been remarkable! However,the aggregate level of the domestic elementary education is not sufficient to the extent,that the curriculum has not been able to meet the needs of the social development completely.In order to implement the decision of the Ministry of Education.The Central Committee of the CCP State council reforms the comprehensive advancement of education for an all-around development concerning the deepening problems of the educational system. The decision to reform and develop the elementary educat onal system has been mandated by the Central Committee of the CCP State Council,as a result,the Ministry of Education has decided to advance the reforms of the elementary education curriculum vigorously.Their goal is to adjust,reform,restructure and content the educational curriculum,construct a new elementary curriculum that meets the request and requirements of the educational system for an new all-around development.Modem chemistry has entered into every aspect of human society which is the essential theme in the natural sciences.How to reflect the latest research,and how we use our new found abilities to adapt to the social needs(according to students psychological characteristics,development,and the laws of human understandings),are the problems that various countries' chemistry reformation strive to solve.This is a great concern for all the world.In our country,the "National ordinary High School Curriculum Plan" and the "Ordinary High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard"(experimental manuscript), have already been officially promulgated,which will be tested in a designated area in September 2004,according to the overall arrangement of the Ministry of Education about the high school curriculum reforms.In order to approach the problem of reforming the new high school chemistry curriculum in our country,the concern is how to appraise the teaching text books.The "curriculum standard has several sets of different textbooks" that must be addressed separately.The reformation of books needs to include significant strengths of location, better research of text books,and enhance the textbooks effectiveness through better quality,which has already been a problem urgently waiting to be solved.From the research,"Standing on a Higher Position," this article has done some research about the breadth and the depth of the curriculum reformation.The period arrangement of three sets of new textbooks("People Education Publishing House," "Jiangsu Education Publishing House," and "Shandong Science and Technology Publishing House"),it scales quantitatively the curriculum difficulty of various new textbooks and constructs a common mode and way to analyze the difficulty of chemistry textbooks with an expectation to supply some constructive opinion and enlightenment for the teachers using and managing the textbooks.
