Social strategy summarizes concrete communicating methods. The strategy for children to resolve social problems is a comprehensive reflection of their social behavior and social cognitive ability. Social strategy training has become a main way to improve the peer relationships of children and to foster their social adaptation in the area of preschool children education. In clinical psychology, playing therapy has good effects on solving children's behavioral, emotional and cognitive problems. Educational researches have proved that the mixed-age education and the mix-aged activity play a unique role in developing children's social ability. In which a 'quasi-nature' ecology communicating context is created. Therefore, in order to train children's communicating strategy, the study attempted to bring short-term group play therapy into the kindergarten general playroom in the mixed-age play context, and at the same time to compare focused group play training with non-directive group play training on the effect of developing children social strategy in the mixed-age play context.Based on directive playing therapy model and non-directive model, the study designed two different blue prints of group training, and it took six weeks (twelve units) to train social strategy of the children of 3-5 years in the role-playing room and in the construct-playing room. Integrated qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, the study came to the conclusions preliminarily:(1) Focused group play training can foster positive social strategy and reduce the frequency of using passive social strategy, and non-directive group play training can foster positive strategy, but not passive strategy and neutral strategy in the mixed-age play context.(2) The effect of focused group play training is better than non-directive group play training in reducing the frequency of using passive strategy in the mixed-age play context. We can take the further study aimed for the insufficiency and problems turned up in this study, such as improving the measuring tools, extending the range of subjects, comparing different training methods in effects of training social strategy, comparing effects of training social strategy in the same-age play context and in the mixed-age play context, and etc.
