Higher vocational education reveals a series of questions through over twenty years of struggle and development. How to create a harmonious outside environment, how to construct balance of the situation consisting the elements, such as scale, quality, construction and effectiveness, and how to accumulate energy, these are all irresistible questions to realize the sustained development of higher vocational education. The concept of sustained development is a new concept of development and value which fits the development of human and human nature. In this concept, development can be understood to be a moving process of sustainment, entirety, coordination and equability between human, nature and society. The concept of sustained development has led in educational area as a developing concept. The thesis based on the higher vocational institutions studies the sustained development in higher vocational education. It puts forward the thought of the sustained development in higher vocational education system, that to say, fixing a reasonable and accurate status and clarifying the aim of running a school in higher vocational education. It also includes setting up special courses with the guiding principles of serving local economy, reforming the curricular system according to the vocational working process when designing and also constructing a evaluative system of the sustained development.
