Study On Singapore's Civic And Moral Education In School

Singapore is a new immigrant country, whose population is mainly consisted of Chinese. Based on the miracle she has performed in the aspect of economical development and spirit civilization, Singapore is regarded as a good example of modern civilization in eastern Asia. In fact, the achievements are all closely related with long and efficient civic and moral education in school. The thesis aims to research on Singapore's civic and moral education in school, then summarize the theoretical and practical experience, from which we endeavor to learn something good, so as to innovate the ideological and political education in China.The thesis is mainly made up of four parts. First part focuses on the theoretical system of Singapore's civic and moral in school, including values, goals, contents. Second part is concerned with practical pattern of Singapore's civic and moral in school, covering operations, methods and ways. Third part is analysis and estimate of Singapore's civic and moral education in school, stating its main characteristics, achievements and challenges. Fourth part is significance to the ideological and political education in China. The study principles are first introduced, based on which, analyzing the status of ideological and political education in China and its problems, summarizing the new ways to perfect the ideological and political education according to Singapore's useful experience.
