The main purpose of this study is to explore how to wrok on career guidance in senior high school.The action research method is adopted.Through the case of career guidance that is done in a high srnior of He Nan Province, we discuss the prosess in which career guidance is designded and implemented. Then we further indenty the difficulties and problems that face us, explore the strategies and methods of solving the problems and discuss the feelings of participants of the case when working on career guidance.In the prosess of research, first of all, we study and summarise the theories of career and the research results of career guidance work in high school. Then we consider the summary result as tthe main theoretical foundation when designing the programme of career guidance. Secondly we organize this activity of career guiduance basing on the programmes of career guidance of high school that had been done. We also absorb the suggestions that my tutor, teachers who teach in high school and students who study in high school give to us on progremme of activies. Finally we continully improve the programme of activity according to the situation of programme implememtation.In this paper, we record and analyse the prosess of programme implementation. Through the method,we diplay the difficulties and problems that face us and descript the strageies and methods of solving the probiems. We show the feelings of participants toward this activity through analysizing the feedback form to this programme of activity. Through analysizing the learning materials and the self-exploration material that the participants write,we portray the active degree of participants.In research, we found that participants are interested in the activity of career guidance. As to the meanings of career guidance, the participants pay more attention to the chance that this activity provides to them, they can deeply ponder and explore themselves by this. On the other hand, during this study, the researcher'idea of career guidance is changed, her knowledge of theory and practice is extended and the ability of applying the theory into practice is improved.Lastly, based on this study, some suggestions for other researchers and practitioners are given at the end of this paper.
