The Research For Ocean University Orientation Problem

The school orientation is the key problem of university development strategy. The construction and development of university cannot get away from scientific, reasonable and accurate orientation.With the constant development of higher education in our country, the style of running schools by various forms in higher education can get confirmation, but the mode of running schools tends to be simple. Universities of different types all consider they are integrated and investigative because of having complete subjects, but lack of special features. It must influence the durative development of university and countrywide higher education. It is more important to investigate the problem of orientation, especially for the middle professional universities between academic research universities and applied technique vocational schools or colleges.Facing to the development of 21^st century Ocean higher education, ocean universities have developed rapidly. This paper tries to investigate the ocean universities' orientation problem in order to come up with valuable opinions for solving the orientation problem of middle professional universities in our country.This paper is totally divided into five parts. First part is introduction which introduces problems, expounds research actuality and narrates the research way and method etc. Second part is mainly to investigate classification problem of universities. Based on the research for some fundamental problems like conception of classification, theory basis of classification, the purpose and principle of classification and so on, it mainly introduces classification ways of universities at home and abroad and theory foundations of ocean universities classification, and also introduces the circumstances of internal Ocean universities such as general situation and profession etc. The third is to investigate orientation theory of university, to expound orientation connotation, to analyze orientation content and to make a research for orientation method and strategy at last. Part four is the core of research that is about the orientation research of ocean universities. It analyses the existent problems of ocean university orientation by selected orientation cases from two representative ocean universities, and mainly investigates and analyses the external and internal factors that affect the ocean university orientation. Last part is about case research. It mainly makes use of the principle of orientation research to analyze impact factor of individual case, aims at the actual circumstance of individual case to carry through orientation thinking.
